舞動雲門之美－從林懷民的黑白與彩色雙鉅作說起
劉小姐在她的演講裡與我們分享雲門舞集的特色。她強調雲門舞者在舞蹈中的動作都是彎彎的，跟芭蕾舞不一樣。她之後詳細地介紹雲門舞集跟別的舞團比起來 最大的特色：「就是它（雲門舞集）想要用什麽樣的身體來表達不一樣的東西，而不是只是學習西方的，或者是延續傳統的，所以在雲門的身上你可以看到一個創 新，它是把西方的跟東方的做了一個非常好的結合，那這裡頭，我覺得這是一個很難的功課，因為大家通常都會覺得『你的西方的要學得很好』或者是『我們就是傳統』，但是結合起來要結合得好，是不容易的事情，如果結合得不好就變得很好笑。」
“A Reflection on Chinese Langauge Study and Professor Teng, Shou-Hsin's Lecture on Canonical and Non-canonical Structures in Chinese”
On July 27, 2011, I had the honor and privilege of listening to Professor Teng, Shou-Hsin lecture to ICLP teachers on canonical and non-canonical structures in Chinese. I was first introduced to his seminal work during a "Chinese Grammar" class I took with Chen Li-Yuan Laoshi two semesters ago at ICLP. At that time I was very frustrated with my progress in Chinese. Although I was classified as an advanced Chinese language learner, I felt insecure in my ability to correctly use newly-acquired vocabulary.
Report on Language Exchange Activity of ICLP and NTU Students
Language exchange sessions begin with a one hour group activity that allows NTU and ICLP students to interact while also strengthening language ability. In the last meeting, NTU students played against ICLP students in a role playing game. In this activity, one student is required to use his or her non-native language to convince a second student, seated, to get out of the chair and leave with them.
