A Hike Up Xueshan: Don't Forget Your Sunscreen!
In the middle of Shei-Pa National Park (雪霸國家公園), is the nearly 4000 meter-high Xueshan mountain. During the colder months, the mountain is covered in snow, and at the top of the staggering peak the air can get so thin that it is difficult to breathe. The hike is long and tiring, but the natural environment is so peaceful and beautiful that every step is worth it. With this in mind, I gathered the assortment of needed supplies the best I could on a student's budget and prepared for a tough climb.

胡適紀念館參訪心得
在語言活動週期間，我參加中央研究院之旅，訪問了幾個機構。其中，我覺得胡適紀念館是最特別的地方，所以今天我想發表我的心得感想。
在「思想與社會」的功課裡，我學習了“舊小說的社會價值”。根據課本的觀 點，舊小說的特點如下所述。舊小說的起源是用故事來解釋佛經，所以舊小說中都充滿了獎善懲惡的思想。它的內容近乎公式化，而且其中人物的善惡形成了強烈的 對比。在那個時代，它們在社會裡有很重要的價值，那就是培養道德觀念，鼓勵人們。

During our visit to UC Berkeley after the ACTFL 2009 Convention, Professor Karen I-Hao Li presented us with two group photographs of IUP (ICLP’s predecessor) students, teachers and administrative staff from the 1970 as a historic souvenir.
