出席ACTFL2009學術年會後參訪Berkeley大學，黎宜浩教授慷慨贈送兩楨70年代IUP時代全體師生與行政人員的團體照，請託帶回作為歷史紀念。請參閱圖像。
During our visit to UC Berkeley after the ACTFL 2009 Convention, Professor Karen I-Hao Li presented us with two group photographs of IUP (ICLP’s predecessor) students, teachers and administrative staff from the 1970 as a historic souvenir. Please see the photographs below.
30年多來，本所為符合新世紀教學理論與因應學習者需求，師生人數與70年代相較，確實有所擴增。但是，ICLP的核心價值始終與IUP時代無二致：以單班(一對一)與小班(二至四人)，師生比高至1:1.5，每天課時4小時，以課上口說能力帶動聽力，課下預習與複習帶動讀、寫能力的密集課程，循序漸進﹐有計畫地培訓學習者在三個學期內，將目標語語言工具轉換為交際性語言能力與職業性的專業語言能力。
For over thirty years, we have been adapting to the evolving needs of students and 21st century pedagogy. ICLP has enlarged its faculty and student numbers while ensuring that the core value of the program remains unchanged. For example, ICLP continues to offer one hour of one-on-one class and three hours of small-group classes (two to four people) everyday; it maintains the low student-faculty ratio of 1.5:1. We emphasize the improvement of listening and speaking ability in class, and focus on reading and writing in out of class assignments. Out tradition is one of rigorous oral training aimed at transforming one’s target language competence into communicative language proficiency over three quarters.
ICLP持續與時俱進，在注重集體學習成效的同時，也關注與開發少數非典型學習者的學習模式。我們的努力已獲得一定的成效。
ICLP always strives to keep abreast with the times – while focuses on learning efficiency of all students, we also are also attentive to the needs of non-traditional learners.
電子報雙週刊(http://iclp.ntu.edu.tw/epaper/)自去年1/21創刊發行迄今整整二十期，每一期準時發刊，內容都是學生的傑作，也是老師教導有方的證明，並且期期記錄了ICLP與時俱進的過程與心路。
The first issue of the biweekly ICLP Bulletin was published on January 21, 2009. ICLP has put out twenty issues to date. The ICLP Bulletin offers numerous examples of actual student writing in good Chinese which genuinely give evidence of ICLP’s premier teaching quality. In the meanwhile, it displays a complete record of ICLP’s growth and development.
在此，衷心感謝電子報總編輯黃慧鳳老師與主編薄瑞安(Bryan K. Beaudoin)、徐祥年(Hsiang-Nien Hsu)、朱雯琪(Linda Chu)、黃北辰(Billy Hwan)，以及各位投稿的同學和指導的老師們。冬季班開學後，電子報編輯群將有新的主編孟寶勒 (Paul Mozur)加入，我們拭目以待。藉此機會也要感謝去年提出發行電子報點子的財務專員劉憶琪小姐﹐以及自創刊以來在幕後辛勤工作的IT志賢、珮琳、慧君、文瑛。
I would like to extend my gratitude for the hard work of the Editor-in-Chief, Phoebe Huei-Feng Huang, and other present and past editors, Bryan K. Beaudoin, Hsiang-Nien Hsu, Linda Chu and Billy Hwan, and all the teachers’ efforts as well as all the articles contributed by our students. From the beginning of the winter quarter, we will be welcoming a new editor, Paul Mozur.
