Close and convenient to Taipei, Maokong is an area known for its teahouses and temples in the mountains southeast of downtown Taipei. Now easily reached by a four-kilometer cable car ride (an extension of the MRT system, beginning at the Taipei Zoo station), Maokong is offers a welcome respite from the frenetic activity of city life. The best time to go is an hour or two before sunset. Most of the teahouses are on the hillsides, featuring excellent Taiwanese food and, of course, tea from the surrounding area, as well as scenic views of the Taipei basin. The clear air, the background sounds of birds and frogs, and the bejeweled view of Taipei's lights make Maokong one of the most beautiful places in Taiwan.

　　在台北，我最喜歡的地方是貓空。貓空在台北南邊的山上，離台北很近。

　　貓空有很多茶館，你可以在茶館裡喝茶、吃飯，茶很好喝，飯也很好吃。

　　台北市的天氣很熱的時候，貓空的天氣非常舒服，風很涼、太陽很暖和。太陽西下以後，你能看到台北的燈火，風景非常漂亮。
