12/15(二)精彩的期末口頭成果發表把我們的心緊緊地聯繫了起來﹐ICLP全體師生與行政團隊所創造出來的成績﹐是令人感動與讚嘆的。
The dynamic mix of end-of-semester oral presentations on Tuesday December 15 brought us together. This was nothing other than the hard work of students, teachers and administrative staff come to fruition.
2009-2010學年度第一學期(秋季班)在12/18(五)結業了。從秋季班結業日到1/4(一)冬季班開學日,我們將有兩週多一點的學期中間假。「休息是為了走更長的路」﹐由衷企盼各位在學期中間假期間,身、心、靈不但都能夠獲得充分的休憩,而且利用假期探索、體驗台灣精緻的文化活動。在此衷心預祝聖誕節、新年快樂,也祝福大家在2010這個全新的一年,心想事成,豐收累累。
The fall quarter of the 2009-2010 program comes to an end on December 18 and will be followed by a two-week break. I hope that all students and faculty will enjoy themselves during the break whether it is used to experience cultural activities in Taiwan or get some much needed rest. I wish everyone Happy holidays Merry and a prosperous and fruitful 2010.
秋季班在大家持之以恆的努力中不知不覺地過去了。這個學期我們攜手創造了幾項全新的記錄。
We have created several new records during this quarter:
首先是語言實踐週活動。這是由全所師生與行政團隊通力合作,分十組十個主題活動,以一週的活動期完成的歷史性創舉。看到學生們積極參與活動,並且對所參與的活動給予正面且熱切的回饋,以及各組以生動而豐富的影音記錄來分享活動內容。這與語言實踐週返校日當天﹐看到師生臉上所流露出興奮與雀躍的神情兩相印證下,確信語言實踐週活動獲得一定的成效,是值得延續下去的。
在此要向教務主任黃傳娟老師致上最大的敬意的謝意,語言實踐週任務完全是由黃傳娟主任規劃、執行的,黃主任克服了各種困難﹐具體落實了此項深具意義的活動。在此,也要由衷感謝各組組長的提案、規劃、落實,以及各位參與的組員老師的分工與協助。此外,還要感謝全體同學的主動參加與回饋,我們才得以確認活動的目標是否達成。
1) Language Mission Week: This was an unprecedented program launched by ICLP, and included ten teams and ten activities in a week’s time. We are delighted to see that our students were fully involved in these activities and gave enthusiastic and positive feedback thereafter. I believe the result of the “Language Mission Week” is productive and is therefore an event worthy of repetition in future years.
I hereby would like to take my hat off to our Chief Instructor, Huang Chuan-Juan, who planed, organized, and carried out the entire event by overcoming all sorts of difficulties encountered throughout the whole process. I’d also like to thank all of the team leaders who made constructive suggestions and succeeded in collaborative teamwork. Last but not the least, I’d like thank our students for their participation and valuable feedback, which helped us evaluate our objectives.
其次,期末口頭成果發表會。在兩位教務主任范美媛老師與黃傳娟老師的分工之下,將全體師生依據初、中、高各語言能力等級,將學生組織起來,或個人或小團體﹐大家分別以辯論、座談、演講、表演等方式展現學習成效。
12/15(二)這一天,447演講室在精心設計的PPT、活動程序表、花束、茶點的襯托下﹐充分展現了全體師生這學期的口頭成果。在此衷心感謝兩位教務主任-范美媛老師與黃傳娟老師,以及全體教師、學生﹐以及行政人員的全力以赴。請參閱活動程序表:2009-10秋季期末成果發表FinalPresentation.pdf 。
2) Final Presentations: These were organized by both Chief Instructors, Fann Meei-Yuan and Huang Chuan-Juan. Students were grouped into three levels – Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced and demonstrated their progress in several formats including: debates, seminars, speeches and skits.
The final presentation took place on December 15 in the ICLP Lecture Hall, decorated with beautifully-designed audio visual presentations, agenda, flowers and delicious desserts. I give my thanks for the efforts of both Chief Instructors and all of ICLP administrative staff, without which the presentation wouldn’t have been possible. 再其次,本所成為帶動現代漢語詞類革新的基地。這一年來推動與落實鄧守信教授所研發的現代漢語詞類體系於教學上。在鄧守信教授的引導與梁欣榮所長的支持下﹐一年來師生持續地培訓﹐教師團隊的習作、實作﹐進而三本核心教材生詞表的全面更新等。再加上﹐ACTFL2009詞類小組的發表與推廣﹐使本所成為帶動現代漢語詞類革新的基地。衷心感謝鄧守信教授、梁欣榮所長、兩位教務主任、參與核心教材生詞表更新計畫的周長楨老師、孫雅玲老師、王楚蓁老師、林秋芳老師、許秀霞老師、洪慎杏老師、方瑾老師﹐以及學生薄瑞安等﹐同時也要感謝每位出席講座學習﹐在課堂上引領學生學習新詞類體系的老師。
3) ICLP is at the forefront of integrating a refined system of modern Chinese Parts of Speech into teaching. Under the guidance of Professor Teng Shou-Hsin, ICLP offered a series of training sessions, revised three core textbooks, and implemented Prof. Teng’s theory of classification of Chinese parts of speech in class. I’d like to give my special thanks to Professor Teng, Director Leung, and the following teachers who contributed to textbook revision: Zhou, Chang-Zhang, Sun Ya-Ling, Wang Chu-Zhen, Lin Qiu-Fang, Xu Xiu-Xia, Hong Shen-Xing, Fang Jin, and student Bryan K. Beaudoin. In addition, I’d like to thank the teachers who attended the training sessions and led students through the process of adopting a new system of Chinese parts of speech.
最後﹐出席ACTFL2009學術年會發表論文的團隊﹐不論在年會上或參訪上都充分彰顯本所能量。在此﹐衷心感謝許秀霞老師、黃琡華老師、王楚蓁老師、洪慎杏老師、范美媛老師在奮力教學的同時﹐仍持續進行研究。本所有志於教學與研究的教師為數不少﹐期待大家積極向國際研討會提報論文。ACTFL2010將於美國波士頓舉行﹐論文提報截止日期是1/10/2010﹐期待老師們踴躍提報論文。
4) A group from ICLP presented at the ACTFL 2009 Convention demonstrating the spirit of ICLP. Again, I’d like to extend my gratitude to the following teachers who devoted themselves not only to teaching but also to research: Xu Xiu-Xia, Huang Chu-Hua, Wang Chu-Zhen, Hong Shen-Xing, and Fann Meei-Yuan.
The ACTFL 2010 Convention will take place in Boston, USA. ICLP teachers are highly encouraged grab this opportunity to submit proposals before the deadline on the January 10, 2010.
