After morning orientation and a break for lunch incoming students for ICLP's 2012-13 academic year gathered to embark upon a campus tour. Sights of interest included the student center, library, food hall, gymnasium and NTU's retired library building which is now the site for NTU's history of the campus and its activities. This building now houses artifacts of NTU's rich and lively academic history spanning decades of time from the institution's inception. While the other stops provided practical everyday information, the knowledge gained from the "History of NTU" tour aimed to give more depth to our understanding of NTU's culture, interaction, and influence with the surrounding area of Taipei City. Another point of interest was NTU's "Fu Bell" which can be seen proudly displayed as the central relic in NTU's emblem. A group photo was taken beneath the bell to commemorate our time together on this tour. Not only did we gain the knowledge of NTU's history but also we have begun to build a history between ourselves. In all, students enjoyed learning about the logistics and history of the campus but also in meeting new classmates.

        新生說明會結束吃過午飯後，台大國際華語研習所 (ICLP) 2012到2013學年度的新生齊聚一堂， 展開了校園導覽之旅。 參觀的景點包括學生活動中心、圖書館、美食中心、體育館和台大早期興建的圖書館大樓，也就是現在的「台大校史館」，是介紹台大校園歷史及其活動資料存放的場地，從該機構成立至今，這棟大樓保留了台灣大學長達幾十年間豐富和活躍的學術歷史，另外也提供學生所需要的日常實用信息及應該擁有的知識。

　　「台大歷史之旅」的目的是讓我們更深入的了解台大的文化，並與周邊具有影響力的台北地區產生「互動」。 另一個讓學生感興趣的導覽點是台大「傅鐘」，它自豪地展示在台大校園的中心，成為台大的識別標幟。 所有參加這次校園導覽的師生在「傅鐘」底下拍攝團體合照，以紀念這次大家一起共遊的時光，不僅是因為我們從中獲知了台大(NTU) 的歷史，而且也已經在同學與學習校園歷史之間建立起屬於我們自己的歷史，同時也藉此機會結識了不少新同學。
