Skills for Chinese-language Job Interviews
[April 8] Mr. Zhu Dingyu (竺定宇) delivered a presentation about
the Chinese workplace, answering many students’ questions about attitudes
toward work and workplace norms in Taiwan
and mainland China.
Mr. Zhu previously served as the training
manager of a five-star hotel, and has given talks about human resources in
a wide variety of venues.
Mr. Zhu shared tips for job interviews,
placing particular emphasis on form.
“You might not realize it, but your interview might have started
long before you reach the company,” he pointed out. An interviewee should be calm, composed,
and polite on the way there in case he or she unwittingly shares a bus or
subway ride with the interviewer.
